The Danish Finance Society/CFA Society Denmark's CFA Level 1 COURSE 2017 - CANCELLED

Note: The course language is Danish!

The basic idea of The Danish Finance Society/CFA Society Denmark's CFA courses is to help with preperation for the CFA exam. Over the past 10 years the pass rate for the Level I exam has varied between 34% and 62%.

As in previous years, there will only be offered one course for CFA Level I in 2017 which will be held in the spring. Thus, The Danish Finance Society/CFA Society Denmark does not offer a course in connection with the December-exam.

Since we do not have first hand knowledge of the quality of the courses offered on the market, we are unfortunately unable to recommend any of the other providers. However, you are welcome to contact the secretariat on +45 33 32 42 75 or mail@finansforeningen.dk to get information about some of the courses offered in e.g. Frankfurt or Zürich before the December-exam for Level I and the spring–exams for Level II / Level III.

The structure and content is based on more than 10 years of experience, but since 2012 the teaching has been carried out by CFA Charterholders. The program for this course is outlined below. The course is spread over 12 sessions on Tuesday evenings, at 17-21 PM. The last two evenings are reserved for two mock exams, which are inclduded in the course fee. Additionally, there will be an introduction meeting for participants.

The topics for the rest of the evenings are chosen based on the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge and the content is closely correlated with the CFA Study Session Outline, which is where the CFA recommended readings are listed.

As part of the learning process study groups can be established for those participants who are interested in doing so. The aim of a study group is that the group's participants, in addition to individual training, organise a purposeful study plan for learning syllabus and arrange regular group meetings.

The courses are organised by an advisory group of Danish CFA charterholders. Their experience with the format of American exams has been valuable in regards to prioritising the teaching. The teaching is mainly carried out by people who have experience with the CFA course.
