Michel Barnier will give a short presentation based on the latest regulation initiatives, including bank resolution and the capital requirements directive,
and hereafter answer questions from the audience.
Before the meeting there will be an opportunity to get refreshments from a light lunch buffet.
We have asked the Commissioner to touch on the following issues, time allowing:
• How to ensure a regulatory level playing field between Europe and the US
• Liquidity coverage – net funding stable ratio
• EU's legislation refers to private rating agencies. Is that appropriate?
• Rating of treasury bonds
• Disintegration in the capital markets
• Central clearing of derivatives
